CLUB FACILITIES
More info
Fitzroy Cricket Club is committed to creating a successful, inclusive, community and family based club with a fun, “village green” cricket atmosphere. We have enthusiastic, hard working committee dedicated to improving the club and providing its members with the best possible gear and facilities.
At the Fitzroy Cricket club, our players are successful thanks to our supportive members. Always cheering us on and encouraging us to do better. For more information about playing for the cricket club please contact us
Fitzroy Cricket Club is located on Peringa Park at 111 Clemow Road.
Grass Wicket
The club has two pitches. One is an artificial and the other is a well maintained grass block with four playing strips. The grass block is the club’s pride and joy and is the envy of many other clubs in the district. It is also frequently used for age group representative cricket.
Due to the recent growth of the club we also utilise the artificial wicket at Sacred Heart Girls’ College, who in turn use our grass wicket for key fixtures.
Practice Nets
The club has two practice nets directly in front of the club rooms. They have had recent refurbishment work done which includes additional artificial turf and new netting.
Also our training nets are secured when not in use, meaning they are in great condition, and always ready for club members to utilise.
Club Rooms
The club rooms are situated in the eastern corner of the park and command views across the Waiwhakaiho River valley, Fitzroy Golf Course, Te Rewa Rewa bridge and out to the Tasman Sea. Adjacent to the club rooms is a large amenities facility. On the northern boundary we have a scoring pavilion which services the main grass pitch.
The spacious club rooms are perfect for aftermatch relaxation and socialising, and a great place to get to know our coulerful club members
